All things shiny, Top 2 highlight.

I don't really have allot drug store highlights that I really like, I mainly love my high end one but the two I've picked to talk about I think are just as good as high end ones.  I will be showing and talking about MY PERSONAL favourite 2 drugstore highlights so you can also try them out and love them as much as I do. I will be doing these in the order they're in on the swatches, (left to right).

MUA undress your skin highlighter

This highlighter is available in so many shades for the small price of £3! Its so ridiculously pigmented and gives a beautiful glowey look to the skin, it looks super nice when the light hits it.This is by far my favourite highlighter and even better than most of my high end ones, it also lasts forever, im not even close to hitting pan and I feel like I've had it forever. This should be available in most Superdrugs so if you see it be sure to pick it up.

sleek hilighliger- shade 'sun goddess'

I got this so so so long ago as a gift so im really unsure where you can purchase this but im sure if you google it there will be a way to, again as it was a gift no idea how much it was but I don't think it would of been much as it is a drug store brand. As you can see it is really pigmented and so shimmery yet still looks so natural on the skin and looks gorgeous with a tan! I feel like because you only need a small bit of highlighter they last forever which im not complaining about.

I think highlighters can be so hit or miss and its quite hard to find one that matches your skin tone so I hope this was helpful for you all,  as usual also please comment opinions or any posts you would like me to do, because ill love to hear from you all!:)

thanks for reading!

Top 5 series: bronzers.

I have endless amounts of bronzers, for some reason im always drawn to them when I go in a store that sells makeup, the only problem is because I tan allot my skin tone is always changing so some days I need a darker bronzer than others. In these posts I will be showing and talking about MY PERSONAL favourite drugstore bronzers so you can also try them out and love them as much as I do. I will be doing these in the order they're in on the swatches, (top to bottom).

Bourjois Delice de Poudre shade 51 and 52

I think my favourite thing about these bronzer is that they  they smell AMAZING, like a rich creamy coco smell, its honestly to die for! I have included both shades in this as I use 51 (top shade) when I don't have a tan and 52 (2nd shade) when I do, they give such an even smooth application and no matter what brush you use to apply the bronzer it doesn't go blotchy. Im sure this is about £7.99 which I think is really good value because It literally lasts forever, ive had these both for over a year now.

ELF essential bronzer- shade 'sunkissed'

Before I start I just want to say that I don't think ELF has a UK website anymore so im unsure if you will be able to get this (so helpful I know) but I felt like I had to include it as it was only £1.40 and for ages it was my holy grail, its sooo close to hitting pan but ive had to kind of slow down with it because I really don't want it to run out. This is the perfect bronzer for when im all tanned and beyonced as I like to do a heavy contour so need a bronzer that will show up and this is so pigmented and does the job swimmingly, but like I said there's currently not a uk distributor so if I find a way ill be sure to let you guys know.

make up revolution ultra sculpt and contour kit 'fair'

THIS IS £3.50!! How amazing it that price for a bronzer, highlight and blush? although I don't use this that much anymore this used to be one of my favourites (you can hardly tell right?...) The swatch honestly does not do this justice but its the perfect bronzer for fair skin as its buildable and gives a natural finish. I know this is about bronzers but I feel like I need to mention that the highlight and blush are also really pigmented and creamy. perfect for traveling and well worth the money.

W7 Hollywood duo bronze and glo.

This bronzer is also lovely for fair skin although its buildable so can also be perfect for darker skin, its a completely matte shade that doesn't give off any 'orangeyness' (that's a word guys) and gives, again, a natural finish. Im unsure how much this was but I think it was about £3.99 which is really good value. w7 is well known for doing dupes of popular products and im 90% sure this is Charlotte Tilbury  dupe although never tried that so cant comment on that.

Okkk, so I hope this was helpful for you, im thinking of doing a highend top 5 so if you want to see that then please comment bellow, as usual also please comment opinions because ill love to hear from you all!:)

Worth the rave: primers.

For some reason I've only been using or even knowing about primers for the last few months, but now it's a solid part of my makeup routine, I'd be lost without it and have an ever growing haud! As I am relatively new to primers I thought I'd test out the ones that I've saw most raved about recently on Instagram ( @xvousetesbellexx) and give my opinion to you guys. I've picked one high end, one averaged priced and one budget product.

Benifit the 'pore fessional'

This product had automatically made it on my fav list due to the ever so cheesey name, who doesn't love a good pun (is that a pun? Idk) but anyway, I'm constantly being recommended this primer aswell as seeing it everywhere (obviously since this is a raved about post...oh). I personally like this product, although I don't think it's worth the money, I've had a lot of cheaper primers that are allot better but like I say I do like it, gives a nice base and as far as I can tell holds makeup longer,

L'oreal infallible

I'm sure by now you would of heard of this product as this new (I think) range has BLEW UP, everywhere I looked someone was raving about this new ''mattifing' primer and foundation that can make your skin look flawless...apparently. I really do not like this primer, literally just feels like Grease in a bottle, doesn't add a base at all and makeup doesn't stick to it very well, also as  far as I can tell it doesn't make a difference to lasting power so am very disappointed, this was around £8, and in my opinion £8 too much.

Kiss primer (wilko range)

I never thought to look in wilkos, is it wilkos or wilkinsons..? Comment if you know please.. ANYWAY, I have seen this primer featured on many blogs and instagrams lately and for £2 it's not really breaking the bank giving it a go.from this start as it was from wilko I really wasn't expecting much but I was so wrong! This is AMAZING, I am so please with this primer, gives a strong base for makeup, isn't very greasy at all and has super lasting power even in the hot sweaty sun. Highly recommend this and I really can't wait to try more of the wilko own beauty range.

My final comment on this subject is Price does not always reflect quality, As usual please remember this is just my opinion and if you agree/disagree please feel free to comment your opinions, again still new so any ideas or tips will be appreciated.

POUND FINDS

I am a massive fan of budget makeup and with pound lands now stocking branded makeup and drugstore brands getting better and better it's so easy to pick up and good bargain, here's a few I found while out today.

Rimmel scandeleyes liquid eye shadows

I was surprised to find these in my local poundland and I LOVE them, the pigmentation is amazing and the colours are really beautiful, I have a few already brought at full price from superdrug so was very happy to find them for £1. They're easily blendable and hardly crease, I feel like I don't need to use an eyeshadow primer before using these because they're just that good.

Maybelline colour show

I see these all the time in pound worlds/lands everywhere, i was looking for a stoney shade and I feel like pound shops are especially good for nail polishes as they can be really pricey from the drugstore and they stock loads a variety of colours and brands. This polish is in the shade 'bare it all' and I'm really happy with it

Make up revolution lipsticks

If you haven't heard of makeup revolution by now I'm just going to assume you're living under a rock in Zimbabwe or something idk but this brand is AMAZING, I think it's most popular because of the high quality dupes it produces, but anyway back on to the topic... Mur lipsticks are only £1! The quality of these are so good 97% of the time although very varely there will be one or 2 that slightly slack in pigmentation but like I said that's very rare and for a pound, I mean.. Come on?! I brought the shade 'vice' as I don't own any bright orange shade lippies and I've used it nearly every day since so 10/10

I hope you enjoyed this post, I tried to do something a little different based on the kind of stuff I like reading soo yeah, feel free to comment any of your pound bargains or any opinions as I'm still new at this and could do with any tips and tricks I can get!

Dupe or Dont?

Wednesday 12 August 2015

Who isn't a fan of a good bargain? Dupes are everyone's best friend but maybe we're not picky enough when labelling something as one, in posts labeled 'dupe or don't' I will be looking at raved about possible dupes and giving my opinion on the similarities (pros) and the differences (cons) then decided whether in my opinion the product is a good dupe. This week it's the makeup revolution iconic pallets as dupes for the urban decay naked pallets.

pros..

First of all the makeup revolution pallets are £4 each! I mean come on that's hardly breaking the bank guys, also just like the naked pallets you get 12 shades which literally makes it 33p ish per shade. Now to the actual colours and pigmentation, As far as I can tell the shades are practically identical to the naked pallets and are even in the same order, the pigmentation is sooo good aswell to the point where if you done a look on one eye with the make up revaluation pallet and the same look on the other eye using the naked pallet you would struggle to tell them apart.

Cons..

It's difficult to find any cons with this pallet as it really is amazing, what I will say though is the pigmentation, although being really good, is obviously not as pigmented  as the naked pallet, also I think you'll agree with me when I say the naked pallets are much nicer to look at as the packaging is more thought of.

So, If you were thinking of forking out £40ish for the naked pallets in my opinion don't bother, the differences between the pallets are minimal so you will basically be paying out £36 for pretty packaging. The makeup revolution pallets are 100% a dupe and well worth your money.

1. Gingerbread Yankee Candle

What would a bloggers wish list be like without a yankee candle, I mean, is that even allowed? But in all seriousness I am need of a new one, my current candle is on its last leg to the point of burning fingers while lighting it. My 2 favourite smells are vanilla and gingerbread but as autumn is slowly creeping in I thought it would be more appropriate for an more autumnmy (that is so a word) smell. you can buy this here.

2. ikea cushion cover

A pretty simple one really, I've recently re decorated my room and Im kinda thinking its 'too' white, like think mental asylum, think joey Essex teeth! a simple monochrome pillow too break it up a little and im sure this is £9, you can buy this here.

3. vanity mirror.

I've wanted one of these for so long for on top of my dresser but for some reason I can never remember to actually get one, but im planning to go to ikea soon  so fingers crossed that I remember! this is £3.50 and you can buy this here.

4. ultra contour pallet.

This literally came out like 2 weeks ago yet its so raved about  im seeing this pallet everywhere and for good reason to! I have been hoping and praying for a good ABH powder contour pallet dupe for so long and surprise surprise makeup revolution answered my prayers, im so excited to pick this up as soon as it comes in stores. This is £8 can buy this here.

5. white leather court shoe.

Again another pretty simple one but I recently brought these in black and im in love with them, surprisingly so comfy and have became my staple footwear so cant wait to pick up the white pair, plus they're on sale for £18. you can buy this here.

6. Micheal Kors watch.

Being extremely white gal rn, but I feel like im the only person that doesn't don't..doesn't, ok well the point is I don't have one and I really want one, I am a massive fan of Michael Kors and you can't really go wrong with rose gold. This ones a little pricey nut you can buy this here.

 Top 3 mascaras.

So I think like most guys or gals out there I struggle with finding a good mascara that works for me, spending on average £8/9 each time just for it to be placed in a draw until its found again 2 months later all dried up like a fish in the Sahara. BUT WAIT, that's right there is now hope, hope to save you some Wonga, some dosh, SOME MONEY! These are in my opinion the top 3 mascaras out there right now. FYI, my eyes are slightly rounded and slightly hooded, my eyelashes are short to medium but I have a hella lot.

Benefit 'They're Real!' mascara

Ok, so first up is the ultra famous mascara from Benefit cosmetics that claims to make my Miley Stewart lashes turn into Hannah Montana for the, not so, small price of £18..ish. I was so reluctant to buy this around the time it first came out as I was just constantly  shoving on a pair of falsies and not really bothering with mascaras but since then I have repurchased twice and I want to say this is the wonder product that prized me away from wearing falsies everyday. What sets this apart from the rest and kinda makes it unique to me is the shape of the brush, I had never really saw that in any other mascara, (if you haven't saw..seen...saw, idk but basically its like a normal thin mascara wand with a spikey ball on the end) and since my lashes are quite spread out I feel like the shape helps get all of them without making them look clumpy or spidery. Its a 10/10 from me!

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara

*ALERT, THIS POST CONTAINS ONE GIRL JUMPING ON THE BANDWAGON*
This Mascara blew up out of nowhere and spread like black death so after constantly seeing it being raved about I caved in and brought it. This cost me £7.99 but as its still new I am sure there will be some sort of offers on it if you look around. This mascara is as good as, if not better than most the high end makeup brand mascaras on the market at the minute, and again has a unique shaped brush (which im literally not even going to try and describe). After using this my lashes looked so Kim K, they were so spread out and every single lash had just the right amount of product on. I could see a massive difference in the length of my lashes just after one application and it seamed to last all day although the one I got was not waterproof.  I highly recommend this guys!

Rimmel Volume Flash The MAX Mascara

I have been using and raving about this mascara since the 14 year old clumpy spider lash back combed hair stage although now, thankfully, I can use apply it properly and Im 99% sure boots still stock this mascara for around £6.50 so if you see it pick it up and give it a go, I promise you will not be disappointed. I don't have much to say about this apart from the fact that this mascara is the underdog, it deserves so much more attention because it literally makes your eyelashes look amazing, the formula for this was mixed by angles I swear!

This post is my personal opinion of products that work for me, so feel free to comment your own opinions of any of the products mentioned or any other products bellow.
