Having sensitive skin is normally something that I really don't pay much attention to, I usually just use, to be completely honest, whatever's popular at the time and then suffer the consequences, (which usually includes looking like I've been extremely sunburnt). So when SkinTifique emailed me about their cleanser which contains only 5 ingredients, I was intrigued.
SkinTifique is a dermatologic laboratory born in Paris, France and Boston , they specialise in sensitive skin as the co founder Jeff discovered that he was getting a sore, dry rash from his wedding ring, he then realised that like 700 million people, he has a nickel allergy, as he couldn't lose his wedding ring, he worked hard to find a solution.
Most skincare and cosmetic products contain EDTA, (which is used as a preservative) , but its been shown that EDTA helps heavy metals penetrate the skin, to which is where skintifique are different, they use the worlds first technology to protect the skin from metals like nickel which are what many people are allergic to.
SkinTifique claim that they work to "relief people with skin that is demanding, sensitive or effected by eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions. I don't currently suffer from eczema but as I have in the past my skin is extremely dry and sensitive, so I feel like I'm in a good position to give a good review on not only the product but to see if it meets its expectations.
There are currently only 4 products in their range which to me shows that they work hard and invest time into their products before releasing them, all products in the range at 100% pure and non allergenic.
I was sent the Cleanser P to try out, this contains like I said only 5 ingredients which are Aqua, Polysorbate 20, Poloxamer 184, 1,2 hexanediol and Add to dictionary. now I'm not going to try and claim that I know what they are, but what I do know is that my current cleanser has a list of ingredients on the back which is a LOT longer.
I've been using this cleanser for about 2 weeks now, I use it to remove my initial makeup and then use it again to remove any chemicals, or "junk" as I like to say, off my face. I simply just apply the product onto a cotton pad for my face, and on to a Qtip for around my eyes.
